SliceTime helps youth hockey teams share their available home ice and find potential away games. Browse schedules, contact a host, and arrange the game directly with the other team.
Find a game
- Open Find Ice and choose a date or date range. Use the age level, division, and league filters to narrow your results.
- Click a team’s name to visit its page and see its schedule, home rink address, and public contact instructions.
- Contact the host using those instructions. Confirm the opponent, rink, time, and any arrangements directly with the manager.
Have a particular opponent in mind? Open Teams to search the directory by team or club name.
Post your team’s available ice
- Check the team directory first. If your team does not already have a page, choose Create Team.
- Enter your team details and public contact instructions. Provide a private ownership email you can access, and choose a shared team password of at least eight characters.
- Save your public team link and Team Admin link. Share the public link with other teams.
- In Team Admin, choose Add Ice Slot and enter the date, start and end times, and rink information. Repeat for each available slot. You can add a team logo under Edit team details.
- After you arrange a game, choose Mark Filled and confirm. If the game falls through, choose Reopen. Delete an incorrect or withdrawn slot after confirming deletion.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Anyone can browse team pages and available ice. A team’s shared password is required to manage that team’s information and schedule; managers do not need individual WordPress accounts.
Does selecting a slot book a game?
No. SliceTime displays availability and contact instructions. Games are arranged outside the site by contacting the host. The site does not handle bookings, payments, or ice fees.
Which time zone and season are shown?
All times are Eastern Time, including daylight saving time when applicable. The current schedule season is 2026–2027. Although the initial focus is New Jersey, teams are not restricted to that state.
Why isn’t a slot appearing in Find Ice?
Find Ice shows only Open slots whose start time has not passed and that match your chosen dates and filters. Filled slots remain visible in gray on the team’s upcoming schedule. Use Show past slots on a team page to view earlier entries.
How do I manage an existing team?
Choose Manage Team at the bottom of its public page, or open your saved Team Admin link. Enter that team’s password unless you already have an active session. Sign out of this team returns to the public page.
Can more than one person update a team?
Yes. Share the team password privately with the adults authorized to manage that team. One person can also manage several teams using each team’s own management link and password.
What if I forget the password or need to change it?
Use the password-reset option on the team’s management page. The reset link goes to the private ownership email. Saving a new password signs out existing team sessions. If you no longer have access to that email, contact the site administrator for help.
What information is public?
Your team details, rink information, schedule, logo, and public contact instructions are visible to visitors. The ownership email is private. Do not enter player profiles or children’s personal information.
My team already has a page. Should I create another?
No. Ask the current manager or site administrator about access to the existing page. Ownership-email changes and duplicate or incorrect listings are handled by the site administrator.
